MID PENN BANK AND PENN STATE HEALTH MAKE STRIDES DURING NO SHAVE NOVEMBER FUNDRAISER
Mid Penn Bank and Penn State Health’s Department of Urology are holding their eighth annual No Shave November fundraiser. Since 2016, the partnership between these two organizations has raised more than $620,000 for prostate cancer research. Mid Penn Bank hopes to raise over $1.1 million by 2026.
During the month of November, employees from both organizations and community partners ditch their razors to help bring awareness to the cause by growing out their facial hair. Prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of death among men. All funds raised go toward prostate cancer research performed by Dr. Jay D. Raman, interim chair of the Department of Urology at Penn State Health. The public is welcome to help by making donations via Penn State Health’s donation page: https://bit.ly/3sB5s3K.
“By partnering with community leaders and Penn State Health, we intend to put our beards to good use in the fight against prostate cancer,” said Jared Utz, senior vice president and regional president at Mid Penn Bank. “Our community partners have been tremendously creative, coming up with unique drinks and other special incentives to help raise the critical funds we need to defeat prostate cancer. I also want to thank our incredible team of employees at Mid Penn Bank for all they’re doing. Their dedication is truly inspiring.”
Throughout Mid Penn Bank’s Southeast Region, community partners have joined the No Shave November campaign, including 13th Street Kitchens – Café Lift, Craft Concepts Group, Dynamic Advertising Solutions, Maxwell’s on Main, Steel Penny Café, Troubles End Brewing, and Twilight Kombucha.
No Shave November kicked off on Nov. 1 and will conclude on Nov. 30.
