Nathan Kelso, Assistant Branch Manager at our Carlisle Pike location, has been with the bank for more than five years. He shares with us his favorite Mid Penn Bank event, and how he helps customers achieve their goals.
What do you enjoy most about working at a community bank?
I really enjoy having access to a support team. Having the ability to pick up the phone and get answers for my customer right away is worth a million bucks!
What is your favorite annual event Mid Penn Bank holds or participates in?
For several years I have been the organizer for Mid Penn Bank’s participation in the Special Olympics. I love to see coworkers volunteering and genuinely enjoying their time with students of all ages.
What is your role in making the bank “work” or “flow”?
In my role, providing customer service consistently is important. I work with our current customers and make sure they are happy with their banking experience. I also connect them with the products which will make their life easier and encourage financial stability.
What do you think sets Mid Penn Bank apart from other local banks?
Our culture as a community bank sets us apart. We work together, we believe in the bank, and it is more than just a place of employment. Mid Penn is part of the community, and we as employees want to support the local community.
What role do you play in helping customers achieve their goals?
By providing them with guidance to encourage saving, and by showing them how the products we offer can make their life easier, we pride ourselves in working with customers individually to provide them with solutions.
