Mid Penn Bank Launches DEI Program Partnership with WITF
Mid Penn Bank (the “Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) (Nasdaq: MPB), is thrilled to announce its partnership with WITF to inform and educate its employees and communities on DEI initiatives within the Mid Penn Community. Today Bank President and CEO, Rory Ritrievi, was joined by Blake Lynch, chief impact officer of WITF to host a kickoff event at Mid Penn University in Harrisburg to discuss the value of the partnership and explain the educational opportunities it will offer. Mid Penn employees will receive DEI training from industry leaders through quarterly lunch and learn discussions and participate in community outreach events throughout its footprint.
The partnership will also provide resources to further develop and enhance the Bank’s corporate DEI practices. Mid Penn and WITF will work together to provide opportunities for Mid Penn’s employees to learn and understand the challenges faced by diverse groups and how the organization can provide the best customer experiences to members of underserved communities. WITF will help develop awareness and ways for employees to engage in discussions and learning opportunities surrounding the increasingly diverse communities where they work and live.
