Mid Penn Bank recently contributed $10,000 to the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. The mission of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art is to merge the arts and the natural world and foster a celebration of both.

Mid Penn Bank donated a total of $700,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s EITC program in 2019. These funds were distributed to a variety of organizations throughout its Pennsylvania footprint. Donations given through the EITC program provide educational organizations the funds needed to support scholarship opportunities and to help enhance existing educational programs.

“Mid Penn Bank has been a part of the Millersburg community for more than 150 years. We are proud to partner with the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, an organization that is an environmental and cultural cornerstone of the community, said Mid Penn Bank Regional President Tara Sheaffer. “The Center is a place where the entire community can gather, enjoy the beautiful scenery and develop an appreciation for nature.”
