Mid Penn Bank Raises Funds for Hurricane Victims

Posted on Sep 12th, 2017

On Aug. 30, Mid Penn Bank’s employees participated in a special “Dress-Down Day” fundraiser to support the American Red Cross of Central Pennsylvania’s efforts in aiding hurricane victims in Texas. The donations contributed by employees, along with a matching donation from Mid Penn Bank, resulted in a $4,500 contribution to the American Red Cross.

“We can’t help but be moved by the monumental efforts happening in the Houston area to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey,” said chief retail officer Kelly K. Neiderer. “This is one small way Mid Penn Bank and its employees can help in the wake of this natural disaster. We thank the American Red Cross for its outpouring of assistance happening now and in the days and weeks to come.”

Hurricane Harvey is the most powerful hurricane the United States has seen in a decade, and the worst in Texas history. About 30,000 people will seek emergency shelter, and hundreds of thousands of people will need federal aid to recover from the damage. Visit www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey to donate today.
