Are Financial Centers the same as Branches?
Yes – Financial Centers are where our customers can talk to and meet with our employees about their financial needs, including loans, deposits, investments, mortgages, insurance, and much more.
Will my Financial Center be closed?
No – At this time, we do not intend to close any Financial Centers.
Will my Financial Center be closed over conversion weekend?
Yes – On Saturday, July 8, 2023, all Financial Centers will be closed to merge Brunswick Bank accounts and platforms into Mid Penn Bank systems. If you have any questions, please contact our Call Center at 866-642-7736. Mid Penn Bank’s Call Center team will be available to answer questions July 8-9, 2023, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Will the Financial Center hours change?
Starting Tuesday, June 20, the North Brunswick Financial Center will be open Monday and Friday only (Lobby & Drive-thru) 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All other Financial Centers will continue to operate under the same hours.
*All Financial Centers will be closed on June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth National Independence Federal Reserve Holiday. Any modification to the hours of operation at Financial Center locations will be communicated no less than 30 days in advance of the change.
When can I start visiting Mid Penn Bank Financial Centers?
Starting July 10, 2023, you will be able to use any Mid Penn Bank Financial Center for all transactions.
*You can withdraw cash with no fee at any Mid Penn Bank ATM or Brunswick Bank ATM.
When can I start using Mid Penn Bank ATMs without being charged?
Today! Brunswick Bank customers now have the ability to use Mid Penn Bank ATMs without being charged a fee by either institution. To find the nearest Financial Center to you, visit the Locations page on our website.
When will my account(s) become Mid Penn Bank accounts?
During the weekend of July 7-9, 2023, we will be merging systems to bring your accounts into Mid Penn Bank platforms.
Will there be changes to my Brunswick Bank deposit account(s)?
There may be changes to your account(s) such as the elimination of a minimum balance fee, but many of the same features will apply. More detailed information will be provided to you in our conversion guide which will be mailed in early June. Copies of our conversion guide will also be available at your local Financial Center beginning May 30, 2023.
When can I open a Mid Penn Bank deposit account?
You may open a Mid Penn Bank account today at any Mid Penn Bank Financial Center or online at www.midpennbank.com. Starting July 10, 2023, you will have the ability to open a Mid Penn Bank deposit account at any Financial Center. To start the account opening process, visit our Online Account Opening page on our website.
Will my deposit account number change?
Your deposit account number will not change.
Will I need to order new checks?
No – You can continue to use your Brunswick Bank checks. When you need to reorder checks or deposit slips, please place a new order by visiting or calling your Financial Center. Mid Penn Bank will provide your first order of checks for free.
What will happen to my direct deposits?
These transactions will continue to be processed exactly as they have in the past. All direct deposits will continue to be credited to your account(s) without interruption.
What will happen with my expenses paid by direct debit or scheduled for automatic withdrawal?
Electronic transactions and ACH payments will continue to be processed exactly as they have been in the past. All automatic debits will continue to be charged to your account(s).
What should I do with my debit card?
You will be able to use your current Brunswick Bank debit card through Sunday, July 9, 2023. You will receive a new Mid Penn Bank debit card in the mail. Your new card will arrive in a plain white envelope at the end of June or early July. You may activate and begin using your new debit card anytime starting Saturday, July 8, 2023. Once you activate and successfully use your new debit card, you should stop using and destroy your old Brunswick Bank debit card.
What happens to my Safe Deposit Box(s)?
The location of your Safe Deposit Box(s) and your ability to access it will remain the same.
What about annual Safe Deposit Box(s) rent charges and due dates?
At this time, the annual rate and payment due date will remain the same.
Will there be any changes to interest rates on Brunswick Bank deposit account(s)?
If you currently have a Savings, Money Market, or interest-bearing Checking account with Brunswick Bank, the variable interest rates for these accounts will continue to be subject to change at any time. Any Brunswick Bank CD, IRA, or Holiday Club account will continue to earn the same interest rate in effect July 7 until maturity.
Will there be any changes to service fees related to my Brunswick Bank accounts?
Yes – there will be some changes made to the service fee structure related to your accounts. The Conversion Guide and Disclosure Booklet, which will be mailed to you in early June, explain the fee structure and other details of your accounts.
*Most Mid Penn Bank deposit accounts have no minimum balance charge, no monthly fees, and no nuisance fees.
Will my Online Banking stay the same?
You will continue to use Brunswick Bank Online Banking until July 7, 2023. After 5 p.m. on July 7, your Brunswick Bank Online Banking will be transitioned into an Inquiry Only mode. You will not be able to perform transfers or deposits. Starting Monday, July 10 at 7 a.m., you will be able to log into Mid Penn Bank’s Online Banking platform. Login instructions including your username and password will be mailed to you prior to July 7.
What about my eStatements?
You may sign up for eStatements when you enroll or log into Mid Penn Bank’s Online Banking or any time thereafter. Historical Brunswick Bank eStatements will not be available in Mid Penn Bank’s Online Banking right away. Please log into your Brunswick Bank Online Banking by July 6 and save copies of any Brunswick Bank eStatements you will need. If you need a historical statement before they become available, please visit your local Financial Center to obtain a copy. When will I be able to use Mid Penn Bank’s Mobile App?
You will have access to Mid Penn Bank’s free Mobile App, along with mobile check deposit, beginning Monday July 10, 2023. Once you enroll in Personal Online Banking, those login credentials will also serve as your Mobile App login credentials.
*Business users will need a software activation code to log into the Mobile App. Please call us at 866-642-7736, option 0, to obtain the software activation code when you are ready.
When will I be able to use Mid Penn Bank’s Telephone Banking Service?
On Monday, July 10, 2023, you will be able to use Mid Penn Bank’s telephone banking by calling 1-888-MID-PENN (888-643-7366). Telebanker is a free and secure bank-by-phone service that allows you to access account information and perform routine transactions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What will happen to my Bill Pay?
Brunswick Bank Bill Pay will send all payments scheduled through Thursday, July 6. After July 6, any payments scheduled will be sent from Mid Penn Bank’s Bill Pay system. After 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, you will not be able to setup or change any bill payments within Brunswick Bank Online Banking. Please begin using Mid Penn Bank’s Online Banking for scheduling bill payments beginning Monday, July 10. To learn more about Bill Pay, visit the Bill Pay page on our website.
*Some payees will not convert, such as ACH payees. You can setup any ACH payees in the new Bill Pay system, however, such payments may be sent as paper checks.
What about my Bill Pay history?
Bill Pay payee information will be available Monday, July 10 in Mid Penn Bank’s Online Banking. Payment history will NOT convert. Please download any needed payment history prior to July 6.
Will there be any changes to my loans(s) with Brunswick Bank?
There will be no changes to the terms and conditions of your existing loan, including your payment amount, due date, maturity date or fees. Please continue using your existing Brunswick Bank billing statement for loan information and payments until you receive your new Mid Penn Bank billing statement.
Will the interest rate on my loan remain the same?
Yes – The contractual rate on your loan will not change as a result of the conversion.
How will interest on my loan be accrued?
Brunswick Bank loan products accrue interest from due date to due date. Mid Penn Bank loan products accrue interest from billing date to billing date. This may cause your first bill to show an amount due that is slightly different than that to which you are accustomed. Your interest rate will not change. This does not apply to mortgage or SBA loans.
When will I receive my new billing statement?
After July 10, you will receive a Mid Penn Bank billing statement. Mid Penn Bank billing statements will be created 15 days before the loan due date instead of 20 days. This does not apply to HELOCs or Personal Lines of Credit.
*HELOC and Personal Lines of Credit are due on the first day of the month. They are billed on the 7th day of the month.
Will my loan payment continue to be debited from my checking account?
Yes – All automatic debits will continue to be charged to your account(s).
When can I apply for a Mid Penn Bank loan?
