MID PENN BANK AND PENN STATE HEALTH HOST NO SHAVE NOVEMBER FUNDRAISER
Mid Penn Bank is partnering with Penn State Health’s Department of Urology for the eighth annual No Shave November fundraiser. This partnership has raised more than $620,000 for prostate cancer research since the first month-long campaign was held in 2016.
Employees from both organizations come together every November and ditch their razors to bring awareness to the cause by growing out their facial hair. The campaign will raise money for the prostate cancer research performed by Dr. Jay D. Raman, interim chair of the Department of Urology at Penn State Health.
“We are once again excited to join forces with Penn State Health for another year of the No Shave November campaign,” said Mid Penn Bank President and CEO Rory G. Ritrievi. “This is our eighth year of conducting this campaign with Penn State Health and we’re honored to continue making a lasting impact on prostate cancer research conducted by my dear friend Dr. Jay Raman and his incredible team.”
Joining the fundraising again this year is a wide list of community partners including Cornerstone Coffeehouse, Al’s of Hampden/Pizza Boy Brewing Co., Sweet Velvet Macarons, Tanya’s Cookie Boutique, The Englewood, and Halifax VFW Post 5750. Gifts from community partners, as well as from Mid Penn Bank, help drive Penn State Health’s mission to serve and lead in areas of research, development and success.
Penn State Health recently commemorated Mid Penn Bank’s continued support and fundraising efforts by dedicating its second-floor outpatient clinic the Mid Penn Bank Outpatient Clinic at the Penn State Cancer Institute.
The No Shave November fundraiser will begin on Nov. 1 and conclude on Nov. 30. Mid Penn Bank is committed to raising $1.1 million for Penn State Health by 2026 under Ritrievi’s leadership.
