Mid Penn Bank Announces $1,000 Micklewright Golf Scholarship
Scholarship established in honor of chief lending officer’s Hall of Fame recognition
Mid Penn Bank is establishing the Micklewright Golf Scholarship, which will award annually a $1,000 scholarship to a financially deserving member of the Millersville University golf team. The scholarship honors Scott Micklewright, executive vice president and chief lending officer, who was recently inducted into the Millersville University Athletics Hall of Fame. The only four-time All-PSAC golfer in Millersville history, Micklewright was a key member of two PSAC championship teams and a NCAA East Regional championship.
“Scott is not only an all-star golfer, but he is also an all-star member of the Mid Penn Bank team,” said Mid Penn Bank CEO Rory G. Ritrievi. “In his eight-plus years with Mid Penn, he has contributed immensely to the organization’s growth and success. We are proud of his accomplishments and hope to inspire other young men and women to achieve similar success through this scholarship.”
Micklewright was inducted into the 23rd annual Hall of Fame Class in a ceremony at the college on Oct. 13, 2017, along with five fellow record-setting Millersville alumni.
In 2017, Mid Penn Bank provided $6,500 in scholarships to local high school graduates. This will be the first collegiate-level scholarship, and the first athletic scholarship, offered by the bank.
