Mid Penn Bank, subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPB), has received approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to open a retail branch at 689 West Main Street in New Holland.

Mid Penn expects to open the branch in the spring of 2017 once renovations are completed.

“The New Holland branch marks our third retail location in Lancaster County,” said Mid Penn Bank President and CEO Rory G. Ritrievi. “Thanks to the local, reputable team we have in place, we have been widely embraced by the market since opening our first Lancaster County branch in Elizabethtown in 2015. We look forward to serving New Holland and getting to know the residents, businesses and organizations that comprise this great community.”

In December 2016, Mid Penn opened a new branch at 1817 Oregon Pike in Lancaster.

It is anticipated that the New Holland branch location will employ three to five team members to fulfill personal banking, business banking and lending needs.

Mid Penn currently has 21 branches serving Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Luzerne, Northumberland and Schuylkill counties.
