Mid Penn Bank Donates $25,000 to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
Mid Penn Bank (the “Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) (Nasdaq: MPB), is proud to announce its continued partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (“Food Bank”). On December 19, Mid Penn employees volunteered at the Food Bank and presented the organization with a $25,000 grant through the PA Neighborhood Assistance Program.
“At a time when the rising cost of food is a top concern of many households in our operating area, I could not be more proud of our continued partnership with the Food Bank and that our annual donation directly supports families in communities served by the Bank,” Mid Penn President and CEO Rory Ritrievi said.
The Food Bank is one of the largest charitable food organizations in Central PA and its mission is to reduce hunger in 27 counties across Pennsylvania. Through a network of more than 1,100 partner agencies and programs, it serves 144,000 people in need every month by providing fresh, healthy food through two Healthy Food Hubs, located in Harrisburg and Williamsport.
“We are honored to have Mid Penn Bank as a partner in our fight against hunger in Central Pennsylvania. This gift will help us provide fresh and nutritious food for families and individuals throughout 27 counties who are facing continued challenges in the wake of high inflation and other economic concerns.” said Joe Arthur, executive director of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. “We are truly grateful for Mid Penn Bank and their commitment to ending hunger in our communities.”
