Mid Penn Bank Employees Raise $11,000 to Benefit Penn State Cancer Institute
Mid Penn Bank employees held a “No Shave November” campaign and raised $11,000 for Penn State Cancer Institute.
The bank’s donation will support prostate cancer research that is being performed by Jay D. Raman, M.D., chief of the Division of Urology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Throughout the month of November, male employees at Mid Penn Bank were challenged to grow their facial hair and remain unshaven in support of changing the face of men’s health. The bank held several employee fundraisers, including a challenge to keep President and CEO Rory G. Ritrievi unshaven throughout the month.
“We set a goal of raising $10,000, and our team rallied behind the cause and exceeded the goal by raising $11,000,” said Ritrievi. “That is an incredible display of generosity that will greatly benefit the research being performed by Dr. Raman.”
Mid Penn Bank is strongly committed to supporting charitable organizations through various means, including corporate donations, employee volunteerism and fundraising. An independent community bank since 1868, Mid Penn regularly contributes to causes including health and human services, community improvement and education.
