MID PENN BANK HIRES ANTHONY MURPHY AS SENIOR REAL ESTATE LENDER

Millersburg, Pa. – August 14, 2025. Mid Penn Bank (the “Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) (NASDAQ: MPB), is pleased to announce that Anthony Murphy has been hired as first vice president and senior real estate lender. In this role, he will support the Bank’s commercial real estate efforts across the Greater Philadelphia area market and will be based in the Bank’s Malvern Administrative Center, reporting to Ryan Schlegel, senior real estate lender.

Murphy brings more than 18 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, credit and portfolio management. He has held senior roles at S&T Bank, Truist, WSFS Bank and Bryn Mawr Trust Company, where he managed real estate loan portfolios totaling more than $300 million. His expertise spans loan origination, underwriting, deal structuring, credit analysis, portfolio strategy and loan workout across a diverse mix of property types, including multi-family, retail, office, hospitality, industrial and residential developments. He has also played a key role in shaping credit policy and enhancing portfolio risk strategies across multiple institutions.

Murphy earned an M.B.A. in finance from St. Joseph’s University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Neumann University. He has completed professional development programs through the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, the CCIM Institute and the MIT School of Architecture and Planning. An active member of the community, Murphy also volunteers as a youth basketball coach with the Phoenixville Marian Youth Club.
