Mid Penn Bank Hires Chad Johnson as Commercial Loan Manager in Berks County

Mid Penn Bank (the “Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) (NASDAQ: MPB), is pleased to announce that Chad Johnson has joined the Bank as a commercial loan manager and first vice president, effective April 17, 2023.

Mr. Johnson has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and comes to the Bank from Customers Bank, where he was senior vice president and relationship manager. He managed a commercial loan portfolio comprised of both real estate and commercial projects in the Eastern Pennsylvania market with $100 million of credit exposure. In his new position with the Bank, he will report to Senior Vice President and Regional President Joseph Butto.

“Chad will be a tremendous asset in the delivery of the Bank’s commercial loan services in the Berks County region. His personal connections in the area along with his proven track record in commercial lending make Chad the ideal fit for this role, and we are excited to welcome him to the Mid Penn Bank team.,” Joseph Butto said.

Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Kutztown University and a master’s degree in business administration and marketing from Villanova University. An active member of the community, he serves on the board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters Berks County and is a finance committee member of the Vision Resource Center of Berks County.
