Mid Penn Bank Hires John Kline as Regional President of the Western Pennsylvania Market

John KlineMid Penn Bank (the “Bank”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) (NASDAQ: MPB), announces the appointment of John Kline as senior vice president and regional president of the Western Pennsylvania market, effective September 30, 2022.

Mr. Kline comes to the Bank from Standard Bank, where he was chief lending officer. With 35 years in banking, Mr. Kline has vast experience in business development with a concentration in commercial lending. He will be responsible for strengthening the Bank’s presence in Western Pennsylvania, managing a team of lenders, and developing new relationships with customers. He will report to Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Scott Micklewright.

“John’s experience and connection to the community make him a natural fit for this role,” Micklewright said. “He is a well-respected leader that brings extensive industry knowledge and a passion for helping businesses succeed. Mr. Kline holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania community where he has served as Chair of the Salvation Army of Greensburg, Board Treasurer of West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund, and Board Member of the United Way of Southwestern PA as well as other nonprofit and community organizations.
