Mid Penn Bank Hires Longtime Central Pennsylvania Banking Executive Rob Jones
40-year industry veteran involved in a number of high-profile, historic projects
Mid Penn Bank today announced the appointment of Robert S. Jones as senior vice president and senior corporate banking officer. In his new role, Jones will be supporting Mid Penn’s corporate banking group in the development of new and the expansion of existing business relationships.
Jones brings with him more than 40 years of experience as a banking executive in Central Pennsylvania. Most notably, he served as president of the Capital Division of Fulton Bank from 1999 to 2014. Prior to that, he served in various executive positions with Dauphin Deposit/Allfirst Bank and Hamilton/CoreStates Bank in Harrisburg.
During his time in local banking, he was involved in a number of high-profile projects, including the construction of the PennDOT Riverfront Office Center, Hamilton Health Center and Harrisburg University, and the extensive renovation of the Harrisburg Area YMCA.

A resident of Camp Hill, Jones most recently served as director of business advisory and development services for Brown Shultz Sheridan & Fritz.

Jones serves on the board of the Harrisburg Area YMCA (immediate past chair) and the Governance Committee of the United Way of the Capital Region (past board chair), as well as several nonprofit foundation boards.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dickinson College.
