Mid Penn Bank Raises $15,000 for Penn State Cancer Institute through ‘No Shave November’ Campaign

Through a “No Shave November” campaign, Mid Penn Bank employees raised $15,000 for prostate cancer research at Penn State Cancer Institute.
The bank and its employees committed to making a $15,000 total donation. Employees were given an initial goal of raising $10,000 to support the campaign, and since that goal was achieved, they were able to dress down in casual apparel at work for the entire month of November. Additionally, the bank’s president and CEO, Rory G. Ritrievi, remained unshaven for the month.
“I’m proud of our team for showing tremendous support of this cause from the very beginning,” said Ritrievi. “The kindness and generosity of our employees will go a long way in helping Dr. Jay Raman, chief of the Division of Urology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, further his prostate cancer research.”
The No Shave November campaign was a part of the bank’s yearlong 150th anniversary celebration, which will provide $150,000 in charitable giving, 150 volunteer events and 1,500 hours of community service to the bank’s communities.
