Supporting Breast Cancer Research All Year Long

It’s no secret that fighting breast cancer is important to us. Over the last 3 years, we’ve donated more than $175,000 to breast cancer research; our pledge is to raise $1 million, over time. Through our partnerships with the PA Breast Cancer Coalition and the American Cancer Society, we ensure the funds we raise are being used to fight this dreadful disease, “so our daughters do not have to.”

Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Tournament for Charity

Started in 2016, our annual Golf Tournament engages with professional & collegiate athletes from the worlds of football, baseball, golf and lacrosse and marks our largest single fundraiser for breast cancer. In 2018, we raised $100,000, and our goal is $200,000 for 2019.

 

Making Strides Walk

In October, we participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk as both a sponsor and as walkers. Starting on City Island in Harrisburg, and continuing along Riverfront Park, we joined 6,000 walkers during this signature event.

 

Pink Ribbon Award

Our President & CEO, Rory Ritrievi, was honored at the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s annual PBCC Conference with a Pink Ribbon Award. The Pink Ribbon Award is given to breast cancer champions who share their stories of courage, advocate for women’s health issues, discover breakthroughs in breast cancer research and empower communities to make an impact. Rory, along with fellow awardees Kelly Frey, United States Senator Bob Casey and Susan Domchek, MD, was honored during a reception at the conference for his efforts to rally Mid Penn Bank to this cause.
