What inspired you to pursue this career?

Banking was never in my mind as a job I would go toward. This was actually an opportunity that was brought to me. I knew it was going to be a challenge and would require starting over, but I have learned to say yes to new experiences. Taking that leap has led me to a career I’m truly proud of, one where I always strive to go above and beyond in everything I do.

What was your first job ever? Any lessons from it you still use today?

My first job was working with my father in a painting company he had started after immigrating to the United States. Watching him build something from the ground up, along with the strong connections that he built, taught me the value of hard work, perseverance and how meaningful connections can open doors and create long-term success. Those are lessons I carry with me today in my career working at a community bank.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is the opportunity to engage with the community and support a diverse range of organizations. From helping small businesses grow from their first steps to volunteering with nonprofits and contributing to meaningful causes, it’s fulfilling to make a positive impact that extends beyond traditional banking.

What’s one fact people might not know about you?

One fact about me is that in the two years I’ve worked at Mid Penn Bank, I’ve had the pleasure of attending more than 25 volunteer events throughout our community!

From picking up trash around the Greater Harrisburg area to helping with the Millersburg fireworks and attending wonderful events hosted by our customers, among many others. I love being able to help and say, yes!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The best piece of advice I’ve heard was from my prior manager, who said, “Be the person that finds solutions.”

Now, instead of just thinking about the problem at hand, I bring solutions and stay positive because there’s always a silver lining.
