What was your first job ever?

I worked at the local airport doing inventory on plane parts, which mainly involved counting parts all day.

What did you learn from your first job?

It taught me to pay attention to detail, complete timelines efficiently, and helped me realize it wasn’t the type of work I wanted to do forever.

Who has been your biggest career mentor or influence?

The biggest influence has been my father. He was in banking for more than 40 years, which was nice for me because I could always ask him questions, even the ones that might seem dumb or too obvious to ask someone else. He was a leader in many different aspects, and that is what I teach my kids to be as well.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Hands down, the most rewarding part of my job is building something that may not have been there before or improving a situation, not just for the bank but for the community as well.

What advice would you give to someone new to the company/industry?

My advice would be to always do the right thing, simply because it’s the right thing to do. Don’t cut corners, you will sleep better at night knowing you didn’t.
