Team Member Spotlight: Sandy Bigg

Sandy is the Financial Center Manager at our Minersville location.

What does a typical day look like for you as a Financial Center Manager?

I have a great relationship with many Minersville customers, and they contact me directly with all their financial needs. I spend a lot of time working on loans, opening new accounts, helping customers who have been affected by fraud, addressing general inquiries or concerns, and assisting staff with customer issues or questions.

What are some important skills for your role?

Relationship building, sales and time management.

How do you deliver consistent and unwavering service?

I make myself available to my customers even when the bank is closed. I do not work a typical schedule, and I carry my business phone with me at all times. I answer calls on vacation, and if I am unable to help a customer while I’m away, I reach out to my Assistant Manager, Lee Ann, to assist them. She takes care of the customer’s situation and keeps me updated by phone or text.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Mid Penn Bank so far?

I had a customer who banked with another financial institution for 15 years.  Her husband passed away at the end of 2025, and he had always handled their finances. She suddenly found herself managing everything on her own and called every bank in Schuylkill County before finding me.  It was humbling to know I had made such an impression that she tracked me down. She is now a customer of Mid Penn Bank.

What advice would you give to someone on their first day at Mid Penn Bank?

Build strong relationships with your customers. Take notes about their families, important events and milestones so you can provide a more personalized experience. Always be accessible and treat customers the way you would want to be treated.
